I'm also curious about whether the Z-pak helped you. The flu is a virus which is not affected by antibiotics. When I had the flu a month ago I was prescribed Tamiflu. It was pricey but worked great. Walgreens is experiencing growth partly because they understand the concept of "local" and customer service. In the Chicago area we're talking great distances and horrendous traffic so it's wonderful to have a freestanding place in the neighborhood. They also carry so many other items that around here it's becoming the 21st century corner store. Our Walgreens has instituted a great service. Directly across from the pharmacy counter they've created a space for a mini-urgent care practice. There's a small reception area and two small examining rooms that are home to nurse-practioners. You can stop in with minor health problems - colds, flu and such. The nurses can prescribe medications or suggest over the counter products. They seem to be doing a brisk business treating kids with the sniffles and things like that. I woke up the day before our cruise feeling like my sinuses were on fire. I had stopped at Walgreens to pick up some of our regular meds and saw the mini-urgent care and signed up. The nurse suggested an over the counter med and also gave me a script for a nasal spray. All in all I was very pleased with the convenience and speed. Otherwise I would have needed to drive all the way to the other side of town and sat in the waiting room at urgent care for way over an hour.

Hi guys, first post here I live along the cape cod national seashore on cape cod, mass a historically ATV/Dirtbike unfriendly area unfortunely :( I just thought id provide some insight, Throughout most of the cape stretches a cleared area, probably about the size of a football field in width which has powerlines in the middle, and large access roads on each side aswell as some areas have a paved bike trail which runs off to the side, Alot of these powerlines are on town lands, and atv riding is generally allowed, however for me the area of the powerlines I live on is governed by the electric company, aswell as the NPS which leads to some problems. I have always riden on the powerlines, but today I was stopped by the rangers and issued a 300$ ticket for it? 1.I have several problems with this, first off the info is not posted anywhere, iv scoured google, and the cape cod national seashore website trying to find a spot where it says "ORV riding under the powerlines is prohibited" and have failed to find it. 2.The ranger vehicles themselves are much bigger than my dirtbike, and cause much more damage to the access road than I ever have. 3.They threw the book at me for it, I will be contesting the ticket however in the district court, I dont expect to win but will not tolerate getting ticketed with disturbing of wildlife(nothing lives on or around the powerlines its all sand), tresspasing on private property(the pit owner gives atv permission to ride there). Its these things than infuriate me, sure I dont condone riding in the habitats, in the dunes or in disturbed areas. However this is just ridiculous, riding on a all sand access road, which is uninhabited by any threatened or endangered animals or wildlife. The Cape Cod ORV community is slowly disapearing because of the actions of people like the ranger who stopped me, riding in a place where you dont disturb anyone, dont damage anything and then getting ticketed for the most BS offenses iv ever heard. Frustrating Sometimes.

It seems you are looking for a place where you can cook some meals if you like, but be close to places of interest during the day. I highly recommend the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. How many adults/children will be with you? There are some places that have several cabins close together. Most of them have grills and hot tubs on the porches. It's my favorite vacation destination. It's so relaxing. I've been there with DH and his brother's family and also a couple of my sisters and used to "run away" for a week together. So much fun. One thing to remember is that almost every realtor in that area specializes in cabin rentals and that's the route we've always taken--after the first time when we got stuck in the most remote, windiest road cabin in the state of NC :-) You are in for such a treat if you've not been there before. Pigeon Forge has Dollywood, several really nice outlet malls, water parks, etc. Gatlinburg has the scary ski lift cars that take you across the valley to another mountain. (I wouldn't have done it, but the guys feed me a couple of beers at the ice rink just before.) In the pictures I look pretty darned happy :-) Lots more shopping in Gatlinburg, too. Every time we've been to Cades Cove we've seen deer and bears. There is a sweet really old church and cemetary on the 11 mile ride around it. And other points of interest where you can park and look around inside. The old cemetary was really interesting to me. Oh, and if you see a lot of cars pulled over onto the side of the road, that usually means they're watching bears. So cool!! Gosh, now you have me aching to go NC!!

A number of years ago we did the out-and-back Narrows hike in late May or early June (around Memorial Day). Water was moving but current not too strong. It was beautiful but seemed there were a lot of folks out that day and I would like to do the hike again without seeing quite so many people. Same trip it snowed at Bryce Canyon. We stayed at Flanigan's outside of Zion and I would stay there again. There very well might be nicer places but budget was a big factor in our choice of lodging on that trip.
