I have an Ikea Bredskar 1 1/2 bowl inset sink, no permanent drainboard. I was able to find a drainboard from another company that sits on the sink, fits perfectly, and slides across, or can be placed on the counter. I also will have a space under the sink to place the drainboard when not in use. I also have a bredskar colander and also a wooden drainboard that slides across the sink. I love it !! And so much cheaper (1/3 price) of purchasing the centinox sink that I originally wanted. The large bowl of the bredskar is perfect for my large frypan etc. and yet I still have plenty of counter space. Perfect solution for me.

Ooh, ooh, I have that! Love my runnels. The Paperstone does darken when I let water stand on it overnight, but the color returns to normal a couple hours after I dry it off. I'll give you my opinion on Paperstone, even though you didn't ask. I like it very much, and would put it in my kitchen all over again. The color is so rich, and the surface feels incredibly smooth. But scratches are pretty obvious. My counters haven't yet achieved an overall patina, so the scratches might recede eventually. (The counters have been in only since July.) And the one seam I have is also quite visible. That might be partly because of the inexperience of my installer.

Jeesh, just wrote a reply and it went to wonderland. When answering I was in my own world and realized later that you didn't say if one was needed on the counter or the in the sink. I was thinking sink, 12" deep, since a new 36" single has been installed and need to corral dishes for the dish washer. Are you looking for a counter dish drainer, with silverware and glass/cup holder? Plus 12" wide, not deep. I was only thinking dish, which a lid holder could easily be used for getting the length and width. Go to Amazon, they have tons of selections. You could connect two with clips sold at hardware stores.

I noticed you have pictures of it in use -- is it sturdy enough to hold drying jelly roll pans on end? I hand wash pots/pans/cutting boards/knives etc. Oversized things that don't usually work in a dish drainer. Normally I have to prop things up against cabinets etc -- with the remodel, I'm not sure that will be the best option for me. I was wondering if this drainer could hold large things upright without overturning. If so, it's worth a trip to ikea for me. :-) Thanks!
