Go to target or walmart or other store that has hobby stuff. They have a colored gel decorations that will stick to the window. If you put in an haphazard fashion on window you will hav less birds hit. Here the juncos eat anything smaller than themselves. They do sometimes follow the chickadee pattern of taking one seed going off and eating then coming back for more. Really funny to watch them try to take apple slices off to eat by themselves. your bird could also be banned from the flock. It sometimes happens.

It strikes the posture of an American bittern and the coloration is correct as well. Since it now has feathers with no down showing, coloration becomes closer to the adult bird. It appears ready to fledge so what you observe may be the fledging of the brood. Unless the parents were killed, they are nearby and keeeping watch.
