I used to run a range of greenhouses and for sure there would be a couple wrens to nest in the hanging baskets. I'd put a sign on it to not water it and they were fine with people coming and going and doing their thing, with one or two ugly baskets going dry so they could fledge. They're tidy parents who as soon as the chicks are able to fledge get them up and out of there faster than any bird I've ever seen. Love my wrens!

Cookie, is is a Gray Catbird. They are such cool little birds! I bet they would like you more if you gave them some of the food they like. They LOVE suet..especially peanutbutter suet dough, jelly and oranges. Normally each year we have them coming up to our feeders on our deck but not this year. I miss them! Donna

The only thing I was able to make out was the kookaburra...

I took a photo of the underside of the casting and also one showing one of my other hoopoe pieces. I tried the little scratch test, but couldn't really tell anything. The redish tinges in the photos are what I mentioned might be some copper chasing (don't think that is quite the right term). Also, there is at least one repair on the tail of the top hoopoe. It must have broken off and someone did a little metal surgery. All in all I am happy with trading some of my excess sterling for the piece. TTFN - Lisa
