Thank you all for the feeback. I did finally find them on Garden Watchdog but didn't see too much feedback within the past 2 years on clematis that buyers received. I do agree with others who mentioned the high shipping costs. Scratching my head on their pricing for shipping when compared to other well known sites. They are at least double in cost. Is there something special with their shipping? Plants appear to be the same size as you would buy at other online sites. Julia

Thanks lilyfinch and gary11, I have three ordered from Brushwood, so I can't wait to see how they arrive. I am sure I will not be disappointed. I have already received three from Bluestone, and I just can't enough good about their plants and shipping. I cut the three damaged ones back, and they are already looking a little greener, after a few 80-90 degree days. We are expecting 30 degrees tonight and a light snow, so I am scrambling to find a spot for 7 potted clematis, that are in 2 Gal pots. No garage. I did get a little carried away this winter on my clematis orders. Still have 5 coming after the 15th. Hopefully the weather will be nice again, after this week. I am very tempted to plant the three from Bluestone next week, but I do like to wait until they have a little harder stem on them. Omoshiro and Guernsey Cream where the hardest for me to find, sold out every place, so I hope they survive. This is a picture of my "Sweet Summer Love" that I received from Bluestone last week, they arrived perfect and have grown an inch already.

Thanks Miguel, I have their catalog :-). I think BorS explained their system of ordering to me. The truth is - I DO NOT NEED MORE CLEMATIS, LOL! We just moved to a new home. The lot is very small. Half of it spoiled (in terms of planting new plants) by mature Maple trees. I will have to figure out how to squeeze my Clemmies (about 40 of them now) in the garden after we will redo some hardscaping. I also have many Lilies and Peonies in pots. I would really appreciate if somebody can stop me! But you know how it works: you see a nice variety and you say: "Oh, this is shade tolerant! I need one!" Then you see poor neglected plants al Lowe's at $2 for the 2 Gallon pot. You think that they have to be rescued. And so on... The only reason I ordered from Bluestone this year is my greed. I could not resist their 1/2 off sale, so I ordered 4 more for $3-5 each. All four are doing great. I ordered from the Silver Star because I fell in love with 'Fransisca Maria' when I saw it in bloom at the local nursery. I added 'Mr Spenser Castle' because shipping cost will stay the same. I am so weak:-)

Flowergardener, I've only begun to purchase from Song Sparrow Nursery, but was very pleased with my first three buys (last spring.) They all grew and bloomed well, for their first year in my garden. Klehm's sends large fans w/huge root systems! I'm always looking for late bloomers to extend my blooming season, so bought these: Intense Orange Gold. The picture doesn't show the true intensity. It's actually very vibrant. Huckleberry Friend. Ruffled peach-pastel cream, w/pink highlights, tall, late. Paul Voth. Dark burgundy-purple w/nearly black inner glow, and sunfast, tall, late. Julie
