My Nyjer feeder has been quite successful and the last two weeks have been fun with the little Gold finches around. They are getting used to me now and know I don't mean any harm. When I go out on the patio they fly into a nearby tree and watch me and wait for me to leave. The second I'm back inside they go back to attacking the feeder.

Anyway we live in a townhome and the neighbor just pointed out that they are building nests in the dryer vent ducts that connect outside. There is one in ours and our other neighbors and who knows who else. Obviously we don't want them in our walls and house! I feel like I invited a pest to the neighborhood...

If we get rid of the start of this nest will they build elsewhere? What do we do? I want to have them around but I don't want a Gold finch take over, I don't want hundreds of them around lol. I also don't want to be the crazy bird lady neighbor.
