Sudden disappearance

I had 2 nests fledged successfully this summer. The 2nd clutch fledged about 3 weeks. In the last 2 years, the same parents and fledglings would hang around until late Sept to leave. So I thought they would be the same this year.

I bought 5,000 more worms and they all had been feasting at the meal times, I saw up to 10 BBs at a time. But all of sudden, they didn't come yesterday evening, I left the mealies overnight and they weren't toughed today. I am wondering what has caused such a sudden disappearance?

Windows of my house are being replaced this week, lots of human activities and noise. Also there is one faral cat that roams in the forest that surrounds my house, and I just found out two kittens underneath our deck. I was so upset thinking that the cat or kittens might have killed BBs, but I searched and couldn't find any feathers or other signs.

Would human activities and noise drive away BBs? Would a cat drive away BBs?
