I have a few bait traps set out, and nothing has even entered them. Putting plastic over the area is not necessarily going to work, because the area is not flat. There are large stones, pebbles, plantings, etc. What I did try last night, which of course did not work, was to take a very large glass bowl, tape bubble wrap on the rim in order to possibly get the uneven areas on the rocks sealed, when the bowl was placed over where I think they were entering. This morning, there was perhaps one yellow jacket inside the bowl, and plenty of others enjoying the perimeter of the pond. Of course, there may be a lot of nests, as well. I do note that they spend all there time on the side of the pond which is somewhat lower, and where the rocks are always wet, from water lapping onto them, and where some algae does accumulate. The opposite side of the pond, which is totally dry, has no activity. When you say "fogger", I am not sure what you mean. I have foggers in fountains, in the house, but I don't see what you are suggesting. I have just added some tadpoles to the pond. It occurred to me that I had frogs for a few years, and had no insects at all, and then the frogs disappeared. I am worried about people being stung, my dog, to boot, and having to avoid the yard all Spring and Summer. I have photos of the little buggers, but am not sure how to post them here.

Thanks Marymcp. All the other types of onions in that area are unaffected. But maybe the walking onions have a scent that predators like. I looked at them tonight and tops are turning a yellow brown while all the other onions are doing great. I guess I will have do some research and see what's going on.

Firefox uses a file called history.dat that is kept in your profiles folder to keep the history of webpages visited. I think this file (history.dat) is probably corrupt. It can be deleted and when firefox starts again it will make a new history.dat file. To fix the problem, here's what you need to do. 1. Go to start, run. 2. Copy/Paste the line below into the run box and click ok. %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ 3. A Windows Explorer window should open with a folder with a name consisting of 8 random letters and numbers followed by .default. 4. Double-click on this folder and you should see a whole bunch of files. Highlight the history.dat file. 5. Close Firefox because the file can't be deleted when firefox is open. 6. Right-Click on the history.dat file and select delete. 7. Close the Windows Explorer box. 8. Launch firefox. It should create a new history.dat and start putting/retaining the list of visited sites. Re-post the info. I posted in June. Today Old Port is a BS-fest & doing nothing as of today, August 30. Last month I scraped off red-lava-rock, and replaced with horse manure plus high-phosphorus NPK 4-10-7 (blood meal, fish bone meal, sulfate of potash, and kelp meal) . I should had done what I did in spring: chicken manure NPK 5-3-2, plus red-lava-rock for potassium. Lesson learned, I find that minerals (in rock dust, or Azomite, or red lava rock) is great to INCREASE the yield in crops. The problem with MG-potting soil is it's not rich in minerals like clay or rock dust. In 1976 John Hamaker spread gravel crusher screenings on part of his ten acres in Michigan.
