I loved my jelly jar feeder and so did the Baltimore orioles and catbirds. I bought mine at a local Agway feed store and it looked just like all the others. I say "loved" in the past tense because something, probably a raccoon, managed to destroy it. Not easy for such a simple design, but raccoons are persistent. It's cheap enough so I'll get another one. Claire

Our catbirds love grape jelly, no doubt about it. They love orange slices too. I had a catbird last summer who would eat the grape jelly and let me walk by quite closely, he became so accustomed to having his meal several times a day whether I was nearby or not. We have a lot more catbirds now than last year, and a couple of them are quite large (one I saw was the size of a robin). I think they have a nest somewhere nearby. I will have to keep the fruit and jelly feeder filled!

They are pretty birds. You should offer grape jelly for them so they don't have to try not to get caught in your netting while trying to get the grapes. I put grape jelly in dishes on the deck and they are here daily. This year they even found my live mealworms in the feeder that I have for bluebirds and pigged out on them big time. I have had up to twelve Oriole fledglings up on the deck at one time eating the jelly. I got lots of pics and a video of the fledglings while they search the plants for bugs and visit the feeders. They are fun birds to watch...mine are not so elusive we can sit out on the deck and they still come up and eat. Donna
