I am so glad you had good success at your market.I donated some items to a recent fund raiser for Cancer auction. The thing that every one really seemed to like were two spheres I had cast inside globe light fixtures and then broken the glass off. I had painted them muted colors and given them a high gloss sealer. The two 12 inch ones went for 120.00 the pair. The planters with faces seemed to go fast also.Hope the next market goes as well. Gorgeous photos, Chaz! I can't choose a favorite! I am leaning toward the night bloomer, though! Or maybe the red Hibiscus... The form of your night bloomer is unreal! I did not expect it to look quite like that! I had imagined a more cacti-looking form, closely hugging the pot... if you know what I mean! Wow! That's amazing! It's the one plant I really haven't taken the time to closely research... I can see I need to get on that, and learn more! The red Hibiscus is really beautiful! Our local Lowe's has some red flowered ones in large pots, but they're too high priced right now... I thought I'd try to grab one when the price went down a bit... call me cheap! In my gardens, Hibiscus are more the focal plant type, and I really don't have room for another... but I'd make an exception for the red! Your gardens look terrific, Chaz! I'm happy it all worked out good in the end! You guys have done a fabulous job on your yard! I can see all the hard work that went into it, all the stone work, all the pathways, all the planting and choosing of plants... it's a beautiful scene! Plants continue to surprise me with their ability to adapt and survive adverse conditions... most cope pretty well, I find. Notice how the weeds cope even better? LOL! Anyway... I'm happy that you're happy with the end results, and I'm glad I could be a small part of it... don't hesitate to ask for anything else you'd like that I might have... I'm glad to share! Note her comment there are two amounts of vinegar, depending upon whether you water bath or pressure can. "Sure I do, here's mine. Please note that it is pressure canned, because I cut the acid ingredients down by half. The original directions were to use 2/3 cup of vinegar and waterbath, but I wanted less of the acidic flavor and so cut the vinegar in half and process according to the Blue Book instructions for non-acidic vegetables. If you want to waterbath it, add that extra vinegar. If you want it mild, use the smaller amount of jalapenos. ANNIEÂS SALSA 8 cups tomatoes, peeled, chopped and drained 2 1/2 cups chopped onion 1 1/2 cups chopped green pepper 3  5 chopped jalapenos 6 cloves minced garlic 2 tsp cumin 2 tsp pepper 1/8 cup canning salt ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro 1/3 cup sugar 1 cup vinegar (for BWB or 1/3 cup vinegar for PC) 16 oz. tomato sauce 16 oz tomato paste Mix all ingredients, bring to a boil, boil 10 minutes. Pour into hot jars, process at 10 lbs of pressure for 30 minutes for pints. Or BWB 15 minutes. Makes 6 pints Good luck and happy canning. I get a lot of compliments on this recipe, and one of the local attorneys actually paid me $10 a pint for the last jar a couple of years ago (He NEEDED it for a Super Bowl party). Hi Tracy, Thanks for posting the information about your memorial to Leonard. It is so nicely done, and I am glad you posted his picture. He was a handsome young man, and he was obviously very much loved. I am so sorry for your loss. About your deep sadness: One thing you might want to do, if you haven't already, is make an appointment with your doctor to discuss how you're feeling and how you're coping. You sound so very depressed, which isn't surprising or unreasonable at all, considering all you've been through. Also, it's spring, with summer and the terrible first anniversary of Leonard's death. Somewhere in your mind, I am sure that thought is lurking, and adding to your pain. If you're not being medically treated for depression, now might be a good time to discuss options with your doctor. Newer medications can make such a difference in the quality of life for persons plunged into depression. When they feel better, their families feel better. Remember it's a personal decision and nobody's business but yours. I don't know how many "supports" you have near you, but there's nothing wrong with seeking professional help. Please seek the company of people who care about you, and accept that it's OK to grieve. But it's also OK to ask for help. Best wishes "Nikoleta"
