Anyone home?!

This cut down tree is on the edge of our driveway, it is no higher than 3 feet, I watched it to see who was home.....

Yes, she is sitting on eggs, I have no idea how many. I have been watching them for about two weeks now, up to three days ago she was still dragging dog fur into the hole, I think she has been sitting full time on her nest only two days. It is hard to believe that she will raise a family in that tree, it seems so small, but I guess that is really what happens in nature. We are so privileged to see it so close up and personal. If I sit quietly in the car, she doesn't know I am there. I can't wait till the babies hatch, I will get to see the parents come and go when feeding. They are so discrete, we are making all efforts not to go near the tree to attract any attention.

Do you mean from the Home Decorators catalogue/website? I got a small bedside table from them and had to leave it outside and in the garage for weeks to off gas! It smelled horrible. Their stuff is inexpensive but pretty low quality.

Omega is Masterbrands top of the line. Not sold at a box store. Nothing sold at a box store is top of the line. It’s all low to mid grade. Decora may be the best quality they sell, but it is FAR from anything high end in the real world. The real world is outside the box store. And they do not have a clue about high end kitchens. Once upon a time, I did 96K worth of Omega cabinets in a kitchen. That would be 135K in today’s money. Not even that fancy or large either. And that’s not the cheapest kitchen cabinets that were ever put in a house. Far from it. If you’ve already filed a lawsuit, no wonder they aren’t dealing with you and you’ve been told to go to arbitration. MB isn’t going to deal with you either. Lawyering up shuts off any working with anyone. Anywhere.

Colour variation from a Big Box store marble tile is to be expected. Sorry but they take returns = different batches. Colours run 'true' from one area of the mine. If you have two different marble blocks (5 tonnes of marble being blown off the side of a mountain at a time) from two different areas/levels of the mine, you can and will have different colours. Most of the marble from HD is from China. That can mean multiple mines many miles apart. Your purchase did NOT have a skilled professional picking the right amount of tile from the same batch. This is 'Tony' pulling boxes out of a warehouse for minimum wage. Because HD takes returns...go ahead and take them back. Feel free to work with a stone/tile company or go to a kitchen/bath company to help you pick out the right AMOUNT of product from their stock. What is the marble being used for? Do you know most marbles need to be sealed? Up to 3 times at time of install?

Ya know we expect pictures LOL!!! Good idea about not going near the nest. I wish she was higher than 3 feet. I have hoped for chickadees to nest in my boxes for years. Maybe I will drill a big hole in a tree :)
