Looks like a gray Catbird. Very vocal bird, fun to have around!

My first thought was Catbird too Lisa. You can just see the tip of the rusty cap.

I had a long conversation with mine when he first got here. We were face to face not 4 feet from each other. He had lots to say and I repeated it back to him, then I switched it up and did the classic mmeeeewwwwww and he repeated it to me. We WERE talking but I have no clue what we were saying, I just know I got an ear full! LOL!

i vote catbird, too. i LOVE these guys! they often come to the jelly feeders i have out for the orioles. they are definitely very vocal!

I agree with catbird. The one in my yard LOVED the water bowl I set out for my dog near some shrubbery.
