What kind of millet is this?

Got home with a 50 lb. bag of white millet from the store I usually frequent for bird food and feeders. I typically mix the white millet with black oil sunflower seed, safflower seed and peanuts and the birds seem to dine pleasurably.
Instead of the yellow/cream color of the white millet, however, , over half of the bag contained millet (?) which was a reddish/rust color, as well as some which were black. Is this red millet? I've read that it's not favored by birds (unsure about the nutritional value) and is usually packaged as a filler in some commercial bird feed. True or false? This is the store's brand; the bags have always contained white millet in the past. They are mystified (but they're not willing to refund the purchase) :o). I'd prefer to return the bag but, unwittingly, I opened and dumped the contents into a bin which still contained a good bit of white millet.
If what I bought was truly red millet, should I just dump it and find another, more reliable, source, or is their some nutritional value in it?
Thanks.
