Thanks Florence! I got real brave a few years ago and painted a big Mexican clay pot cobalt blue. When I put pictures of it on the Texas Forum not one person commented on it ... LOL. But when a friend came over and saw it in person she said, "That blue pot looks better than I thought it would." Hahaha! After all this is a hot climate so hot colors 'go'. Hence, I've gotten more and more bold with paint and really enjoy the effects. I don't think I've overdone it. For one thing I tone the pure color down with some antiquing in most cases. There is a yellow section in the yard with various yellow toned flowers and a couple of light yellow painted pots you may have noticed above, a purple section, the aqua, a little acid green, plus there is some overlap. So when flowers aren't blooming there is still color. Thanks for noticing!

Thanks for the ideas on the gazebo,I think I will try some of the Iris's there and what ever else I can find,the woodsy look is because I live in the woods and love it no neighbors,just me my hubby and the critters.Don't get me wrong I love people,but some folks just thrive on drama,and that I can live without,know what I mean? The rose is a Rosa hybrid,but it is very fragrant like a rose is suppose to be,Mike my son bought it for me. I love the color of the Iris's,my husband says they are coffee color,lol.I also have some big purple ones but they haven't started blooming yet,it takes longer for the sun to get back here in the woods. That's OK Laura, I've done the same thing before,LOL.If you notice, the picture of the Hibiscus flower is over my head,and I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall. Greg I do have pictures of the little pindos,but there not much to look at in the pictures,because I took them about a month ago.Since I've been giving them the homemade palm accelerator the new fronds are really long.The big pindo in the pot was that size when I bought it.I bought it and the big Medd palm for 25 dollars each.The pindo is so top heavy that I have to keep bricks in the pot to keep it from turning over.I want to set it out but I don't like planting palms this late in the year,not a pindo.I'm not worried about the Trachys,since there more cold hardy.HD has 4 more Pindos that big(7 foot)including the pot.I'm going to get one more tomorrow,maybe two :)I'll post more pictures tomorrow.
