About my earlier post... I had 5 eggs on the 20th of May. There were 2 babies in the box on June 2nd. Thought I may have seen uo to 4 babies last weekend... Still one unhatched egg as of today. I carefully lifted the nest, and have seen no sign of dead babies. ants, or anything abnormal. The 2 survivors are starting to grow and look healthy, gaping, playing dead, etc.

I still cannot understand what may have happened to the other 2 babies? As I said, baffled on a pole, sparrow spooker up, and in a fenced area where no predators are allowed. Momma and Daddy both still around, starting to feed the babies. What could have happened to the other 2?
