4 New Ones

My bluebird couple seem to do everything exactly by the book.

The first brood left on May 1st. 3 of them. When we cleaned out the box there was one egg that didn't hatch. Two weeks later we saw a new nest in the box. There were 2 eggs on the 16th, 3 on the 17th, and 4 on the 18th. Yesterday I noticed that there was a lot of activity around the box with both parents going in and out. I had marked my calender to start checking the box on June 3rd. Well I did, and there are 4 little babies in there. All seem just fine.

I've been robbing the batch of mealies I was trying to raise to supplement some smaller ones I got at the Pet Store. I'm expecting a shipment of waxworms tomorrow.

I took pictures today, but I'm not really good with this camera and they were too blurry to be any good. I'll check them again tomorrow and try to get a shot that's I can put up.

So now I have two more weeks to worry. These are excellent parents though so they have a great chance. Baffles are in place and we don't have any HOSP that I ever see. The only wrens are Carolina ones. So I'm going to pray that these 4 will make it out into the world with their 3 siblings.

Thanks again for all that you have done to help me with this.
