OMG. Yes... I'm finally catching up, after a long day. Larsi... these were made by Lever Brothers, or "Unilever" (Parent Company) years & years ago. I know... a lot of us, have used or think of Wisk.. as the current product, made by Sun (absorbed Huish)... but this, is a real piece of laundry history. That's Orginal, Orginal Wisk, made by Lever, just... Whoa. Please don't take offense of this. But.. I don't think the country they we're manufactured in, had anything to do with the formula being low-sudsing. I think it had more to do, with the fact that Unilever had a "tried & true" formula, from their overseas operations, and decided to try it in America. Also... *and this is all speculation* but Maytag, allegedly did try to work with detergent companies to develop a "HE" or Low-Sudsing detergent, before.. they we're really a thing than. I *do* know they worked with Lever Brothers. This would have been in '98 or '99, when these Tabs launched. And I know they launched before the Tide Tabs. Who knows. Larsi... that's a legendary find ;)

Blanca, for several years my dad and I would go salmon fishing together on a boat that docked at Noyo Harbor. It was a father-daughter bonding trip we'd take for his birthday. I almost got myself thrown overboard because I was joking with my dad that I was going to tell the animal rights activists at Berkeley (I was attending UC Berkeley at the time) that they were smacking the salmon on the head with a bat (I was fishing, clearly I wasn't involved in animal rights activism). My dad's friend overheard the deck crew talking about what I'd said and they were concerned. My dad's friend had to intervene and explain it was a joke! LOL In my experience, the best weather in Mendocino is during the shoulder seasons. One of the most beautiful, warm days I've spent in Mendocino was on an Autumnal Equinox. I can't wait to see photos of everyone's blooms! I've discovered my plants aren't safe at the front of my house. Recently, 6 pots of amaryllis had fallen from a ledge and/or the leaves had been smashed. The neighbor children's basketball was nearby. *sigh* Time to move everything to the backyard. They're not necessarily safe there either... the neighbor kids have decided my yard is theirs too!

media wears out.. drainage is only as good as the media used.. over time ... and then your bags double complicate all that ... and.. many of us cant keep the tiny ones alive in winter .. triple complication ... good luck ken

What a neat story, @Jilly! And what a precious find for you. Thanks for sharing. The poster intrigued me as well (first thought was electric cars and oxygen), so I did a bit of Googling and found out his work also inspired musician Jean-Michel Jarre (which YT reminded me of a few days ago when I stumbled on a video about the origins of electro-pop). You might have heard Jarre's Oxygene Pt 4 which was a big hit in the mid-70s. Granger did Jarre's album covers, including the painting that inspired his Equinoxe album. Silkscreen available here (with a cool concert story). Hope you don't mind the musical aside. :) Btw, in one of Granger's interviews from 2012, he says that he shows his paintings to his two sons and if his 8-yr old doesn't understand the message, he's failed.
