Larry, you may be behind last year, but you are ahead of me. My tomatoes are only about 4 inches high, but they look nice. I actually had to start over once. I started with a poor starting mix the first time and it dried out so quickly that I gave up and started over. Even after that, I planted too many seeds and probably have 60-70 plants, but I don't have a lot of variety. Outside I have planted onions, potatoes and a few peas. I threw some corn salad seeds in the onion bed, but I think the birds cleaned most of it up before it sprouted. When we had a hail threat, I covered one onion bed with row cover just to make sure I didn't lose them all, but the hail didn't come. I think the robins are having a family reunion in my garden this year. When we get past the next 10 days, then I will worry about getting everything in.

Hi all, Again a long time passes since our last post. But we'd like to share a few current photos now to let everyone see our Family Blue as of today. :) Mr.B (Father) : Missy (Mother) : Together: The five fledglings of their 1st nest (2010-1) : The six fledglings of their 2nd nest (2010-2) : They have a 11 babies so far this season (exactly as they did at this time last year). And Missy is incubating 5 blue eggs in her 3rd nest as I type this. We couldn't have hoped for a better nesting season... Please wish us and them continued success. Kenn & Temple ps to kendra - Sorry I didn't answer before now... Missy and Mr.B have been here continuously (every day) since 2007. We know them by sight, sound, and behavior just as you would know kept indoor birds. We get to know and recognize the individual fledges over the course of the season as many of them stay until Fall and a few over-Winter here with their parents. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!! I think you've all made it easier for me to go with a more streamlined chair. Seeing your comments makes it a lot more clear why something simple works better despite the table being ornate. I feel pretty strongly that I shouldn't get more upholstered chairs. It feels like too many things going on. Plus from a practical standpoint, I don't think I want the added stress of worrying about dinner guests messing up the upholstery. (Part of the reason I went with the damask pattern is that I felt it hide small stains better). But as has been suggested, I think maybe the wooden chairs need some kind of cushion in a creamy fabric to tie in with the fabric and color schemes. So thanks so much. To answer the questions above: The room is already painted. The wall is woodland snow and the trim is bone white (both Ben Moore paints). I wanted to keep the paint scheme very calm (read: boring!) because so many other elements were going on. This is a old house that Ive spent the last 14 months gut renovating. I live in Brooklyn. Its pretty daunting but Im happy to nearly over with the construction part.
