Always wait it out when in doubt. Checking your other post you say you have 2 other boxes. If this is a new female, she will most likely start a nest in the other boxes or on top of the existing nest. Only if she begins a new nest on top of the current nest would I remove it. If you see no changes after 2 weeks, it would be ok to remove in my opinion. Just wait it out and let nature take its course. Do you have any other birds interested in the boxes?

If you can do it without hurting the nestlings you may remove it at this point. The mother may remove it as well.

I am not an egg drop soup person, but after seeing your tutorial, I might be for a homemade version. That looks delicious like I've never seen egg drop soup before. Your soup really looks awesome delicious. I'm a hot sour soup person, and I think from what you showed, the egg drop might be better than I remembered so many years ago when I decided I didn't like it.

An extra large egg has about 4T of content and a large egg has about 3 1/2 so if you use 5 large eggs you'll be over by 1 1/2 T. You could stir up the eggs in a measuring cup and then dip out the excess if you want to be exact. Or you can just use the 5. With the cake mix I doubt it makes that much difference. Go with whatever is most comfortable. You can use a yellow cake. It will be less lemon-y. Or you could use the optional lemon extract for the lemon boost. Carol
