I respect her work ethic. ************************* What kind of cameras and lighting are used? The cameras are Logitech Orbit AF (daytime) and Agama V-1325 R (infrared, nighttime). There are 4 infrared (IR) LEDs on the camera that are invisible to owls and humans, but allow the camera to pick up an image we can see at night. There is also ambient light from the neighborhood that comes into the box at night. Is this camera hardwired, battery operated, or solar powered? ItÂs hardwired. Can the night cam zoom in? No, only the daytime camera has zoom and is height-adjustable. The infrared camera is positioned lower and gives a different view of the nest. Does the light at night annoy Molly? There is some ambient light from the neighborhood, but there are no extra lights used at night. Molly doesnÂt seem to mind. Are the cameras actually inside the box? No, they are attached to the exterior of the house with a protective cover.

We check on her every day... and today, Larry told me that she holds her wings out a bit because she feels movement within her eggs! So, hatching should take place very soon! It looks like she's done a little more nest improving, too... today, there appears to be more soft grasses than there was a day ago... so, I think her mate is bringing more materials to her. At least, that's how is appears. It's fascinating, Kristi! I'm so glad you posted this! Larry and I both check on her from time to time... at least once or twice a day!

Glad you like it - I started on that site watching the barn owls (molly & magee) someone mentioned the Ga. bluebirds and I *immediately* went to check it out. They have been so funny this afternoon - each time the wind rocks the box - every little mouth opens wide expectantly!!

well live cam to what? there are thousands of live cams, to zoos, to Africa wildlife, to beaches, to New Orleans, you name it there are cams to watch. If you can be specific I can try to find some. I love to watch the ones at the beaches like Hawaii and just imagine I am there LOL! there are sites like this one that will list several different cams you can look at, be careful when searching for live cams however or you may find yourself in some questionable areas with live cams of the human animal variety!
