I did not mention, the four that I found at the nursery later after my earlier started cuttings had just begun to root. One of the four I purchased at the nursery looked like it was struggling at the time I purchased it. It clearly had a thcker trunk and was about 8 inches tall. I brought it home and transplanted it to a 3 gallon pot. It too has been growing under the oak tree. Now it has abundant and nice dark leaves, and its main leader trunk is about 1/4th inch thick. All summer long its flower buds just dried up. I think that might have been due to the amount of shade where it was located. when I purchased that larger one, I also found three more that were in 4 inch pots. Their trunks are about 1/8th inch thick now, and have developed lots of dark green leaves and has bloomed a little under the dappled afternoon shade of the oak tree. At Ken's advice I took those 4 young potted starts out and set them just south of some taller azaleas, west of a still young camelia, and a few feet just east of my house. It seems reasonable that they will survive the winter if I dump them out of the pots to plant and over winter them in that location. But I am still concerned about the rooted cuttings that have been staying alive in 6 inch pots under my oak tree. They look healthy now, and I know I need to take them out from under so much shade. The fact that their main leader trunks are only about 1/32 or just slightly thicker, makes me doubt that they can survive our outside winter condtions, even when they go dormant. I do not have a greenhouse, but should I find someone with one, who is willing to over winter these 4 smallest ones in their greenhouse for me?

Hey J&J...how have you both been? Your citrus look great. Very healthy. What's happening with the Blood Orange? Does it tip over? It doesn't look bad, in fact it's 'kinda' cute, but if it's leaning, how about a stake? Insert closest to the main trunk, then attach with ti's. Let me know how the mango, avocado, sugar apple, lychee and guava do. Please. What type of guava did you get? Is sugar apple a type of apple? Is it hardy to your zone? Are you going to keep it in a pot or plant in the ground? I started a 'Cado from seed..it rooted, now living in a 4" pot, but roots are growing out of drainage holes, so a larger container is needed. All you need now is an Olive tree..lol. Toni I love your GH..what's its size? Sure looks like you have enough room..don't worry, you'll find space. There's always room for 1, 2, 3 more..LOL. Toni

Kath, the mini cheesecakes are DD's fav so I had to make those! The brownie pops were something new I tried and she has now added them to her new favorites list. Of course, the cupcakes had to be pink!!! Marlene, this will make the DGK count at 10, 6 girls and 4 boys. Our oldest DGD just graduated from HS this past June and now we will have a brand new one, so quite a stair step range on the ages. Karen, I am not much of a game person, but DD requested the diaper game, so I had to honor her request. It turned out to really be a lot of fun with all of the adults laughing hysterically and as the picture shows, grossing out the little ones!! Luvs, thank you! I was very excited to find the castle as it was just what I had been looking for and the alternative was a $20 pinata from Target that was much larger and not as cute. Also, all of the items that came from Doll. Tree really helped out on the budget. I was amazed to find the baking section in one of the larger stores and then to find the pink cupcake and the pink mini cupcake liners!! Score!! They didn't even have them in the baking section at Jo*Ann's. Just the pastel assorted ones, no solid color choices at all! I really like the strawberries, the only drawback is they can't be made too far in advance. Kathleen, clever pun!! Thank you for the prayers. Can't have too many of those. Now we are working on the nursery, getting everything ready. The bassinet is the one I used for both my daughters, so that is very special to me. 4 of my 5 DGK's will have used it. It came up on the shady side under a tree fern. I have a dwarf blue spruce and a dwarf black Japanese pine Pinus thunbergii âÂÂthunderheadâÂÂ. An Asian pink Magnolia and a gingko tree, but that is all I have in the yard. And it was not near any of those trees, but I compost things from the yard back into the soil, so it could have traveled.
