Ken - We aren't slandering them... We're mearly letting other users know our experience so they can make an informed decision and if the stock is worth the price. I've ordered a good 150 plants in the last 2 years. I've ordered from new places and I've ordered from same places over and over again. Out of the 150 plants 10 where from them. They were so distorted looking and ugly that I had to get my money back. No responce through e-mail and when you call they want to give you credit on a future order. I planted 6 of the 10 plants if I can recall... Of the 6 planted only 1 didn't make it... 2 still look great... that leaves me with 3 others in the ground and 4 in 1 gallon containers. A total of 7... you still follow? I ripped the 3 out of the ground... then I took the 4 in 1 gallon containers and tossed them in the burning pile. Most didn't make it, not because of stress or planting, but because I couldn't stand looking at them each time I walked around lol. I understand that their will be some degree of failture when planting, but some plants aren't worth planting to begin with. If someone is going to ask about this company... I will tell them my experience... You don't send someone plants that look like this and offer them store credit on future orders... I know they trapped Whaas in the endless cylce until he finally had enough. I think he ordered from them 3-4 times and each time he called and they gave hime store credit for future use. Frankly, I haven't had a problem with ANY other company... all stock has been healthy. I've placed probably 15 orders through 4-5 different companies in the last two years. Some stock was expensive, some not so much, some cheap. They fall in the mid price range. I did have one bad plant of the 50 I bought over the past two years from SongSparrow. one plant I just had a concern with. I didn't want a replacement... I just called to let them know just incase it turned south after planting. They told me not to worry about it and to go ahead and plant it. In the meantime they will send a replacement just incase that it didnt. Now mary can make her own judgement on this company once she receives the plants. Who knows she may receive great looking plants. If she does I hope she will post a positive review... if she doesn't I hope that she will post a negative review. Whaas got from them looked pretty nice... it all just depeds on their stock at the moment. I'm more upset with customer service and how they handle replacements then the plants themselves.

I have(had) a very healthy pine tree on my property and round up was used to get rid of poisen ivy that had taken over ==>> first you should have started your own post ... second.. was the PI on the tree when it was sprayed ... third.. how large was the PI vine .. if it was a huge vine .. perhaps what you are seeing is how the PI caused bad previous growth on the tree and the bare spots you are seeing are due to the lack of seeing the vine leaves... you really havent given us anything to work with here other than RU was used .. how .. when.. where.. etc ... pix would also help ... ken ps: agree with killer.. lots of peeps call every evergreen conifer a pine.. so an ID would help ... may as well tell us where you are also.. big city name...

Kath, the mini cheesecakes are DD's fav so I had to make those! The brownie pops were something new I tried and she has now added them to her new favorites list. Of course, the cupcakes had to be pink!!! Marlene, this will make the DGK count at 10, 6 girls and 4 boys. Our oldest DGD just graduated from HS this past June and now we will have a brand new one, so quite a stair step range on the ages. Karen, I am not much of a game person, but DD requested the diaper game, so I had to honor her request. It turned out to really be a lot of fun with all of the adults laughing hysterically and as the picture shows, grossing out the little ones!! Luvs, thank you! I was very excited to find the castle as it was just what I had been looking for and the alternative was a $20 pinata from Target that was much larger and not as cute. Also, all of the items that came from Doll. Tree really helped out on the budget. I was amazed to find the baking section in one of the larger stores and then to find the pink cupcake and the pink mini cupcake liners!! Score!! They didn't even have them in the baking section at Jo*Ann's. Just the pastel assorted ones, no solid color choices at all! I really like the strawberries, the only drawback is they can't be made too far in advance. Kathleen, clever pun!! Thank you for the prayers. Can't have too many of those. Now we are working on the nursery, getting everything ready. The bassinet is the one I used for both my daughters, so that is very special to me. 4 of my 5 DGK's will have used it. The oldest DGS was born in Fla. so he was the only one not to use it. (The other 5 DGK's are my DH's) Thanks everybody. Candy

Virginia Master Gardener here. I tend to shy away from the manicured look in favor of a more natural and diverse looking landscape. Back in Virginia, I nurtured these kinds of seedlings for 40 years. The vast majority have been eastern red cedar. If you know what they grow up to be, then by all means nurture them and transplant them to a suitable location, which would be full sun, well drained, and lots of room to spread. I nurtured one in a pot for a few seasons, then transplanted it to it's final location where it still stands today (20 feet or so tall) and is part of a diverse visual screen for my corner property in Virginia. Did the same with a few others that I donated to the local community pool for a visual screen. Again, they still stand, and have filled out nicely. I've done the same with American Holly volunteers. Incidentally, hollies are incredibly resilient, and transplant and prune very well. Holly berries are very attractive, and are a great food source for many bird species. I recently moved to Colorado, and have started "saving" cedar and pine seedlings in a similar way. Besides being fun, it's a very economical way to fill in your landscape.
