I'm sorry about your loss also. I felt so badly. I would have removed her if she seemed stressed but she seemed to be doing just fine. I knew I'd end up having babies one day but this is so special because, one it is my first and second because I lost mama. I'm just so full of smiles with my little fishies. On a side note, Summer (my senior dog) must like them too because she tried to take a swim with them tonight. Thank God she is okay but my knees are knocked up from the rocks and my rocks are a mess. Now I'm going to have to give her a good inspection and make sure none of them hurt her. I just noticed a bit ago that a pretty big one fell in the pond and I hope it didn't fall anywhere on her. Not a good night to start my work week on.

Korina, LOL, you are so funny! ;) I would never sucker, anyone! and I wouldn't want anyone to try to clone me either! We all have all of these plants, and always wonder where the hell we can put them. You have extra babies and so do I. Generally, I like to grow my babies til first bloom, to see if any mutate, I especially hope for chimera's. But this year, I just have too many! I would like to try Wea Dear, Sunrise Waltz, and any plant with girl leaves. I thought you might like some of mine. I counted them, I have 84 babies and that's not including what's still in the leaf trays. I generally wait for first bloom, and then I visit the florists and garden centers in my area and sell them off for $1 each in bloom. This year I have too many, because I panicked when rob's plants all went into shock! and I have too many babies now. I can give some away, and will sell the others, don't worry, I don't mulch anything that's living. I just thought you'd like to trade. Blueberry Sprite is a new (2005) plant available from lyndonlyon.com, you can look it up there. It is a semi-mini with single purple/blue flowers edged in white. It is a robust, easy to grow plant and I really hope they register it, so that we can show it if we want. The mouse ears arrive dime size! The thing about it that I really love is how red the bloom stalks are! I feel the same way about Lemon Sundrop. I forgot to mention, I also have extra "Candy Crystals" Russell

cynqueen - Yahoooooo! Isn't it a great feeling to see your first sprouts?! This is my 3rd year and I still get a thrill from seeing the new ones every day. Leave your lids on! If you have to, throw a sheet over them if you happen to get a really warm day and they're in full sun. We have more than a few nights coming that will still be below freezing! I usually starting taking tops off when the days are consistenetly in the upper 70's and the nights are in the upper 40s and lower 50s. I have never had "drying out" problems as we usually get more than enough rain during this time of year. Once the tops are off, they dry out much faster and that's when you have to start worrying about watering them, which can be a big hassle!

I did get my video of the pupa, yay! now I have 3 in chrysalis and 2 more to go which will happen this week and still have 2 newborns to raise, not much to show for an entire season but some is alot better than none! Now to video the eclosing :) Mostone... amazing picture!
