My son and I were chased by a pair of geese when we happened top walk too close to their nest - they're as nasty as the swans and boy can they run fast. While DD was in college she went to our place in NE PA to study for finals. The house is in the middle of a large wooded lot and can't be seen from the road or by other homes. She heard a tapping on the glass and called me from her bedroom . She was quite frightened but told me she was going to peek out the window. It turned out to be a silly turkey tapping at his reflection.

I found a clump of Mnium hornum and had a look at it under the microscope, I was thrilled to find antheridia on one the plants. I sampled 6-7 plants and all had (what i think is) antheridia, none of them had the classic cup shape of female moss sex organs. I was wondering if Mnium hornum archegonia appear similar to the antheridia or maybe that they grow in clusters of male and female plants since they are dioecious?

Young dwarf conifer cultivars are often ugly ... ... what young dwarf conifer cultivars are beautiful ... ... and mature to beautiful specimens?

In miniseries it is depicted that Ann Woodward and Truman Capote had been friends and there was a falling out, and there are a series of confrontations (by Woodward). This is fiction, because they met briefly once and Capote took an immediate dislike to her (allegedly he said something about the murder, she said something about being a little f*gg*t, and after that he was obsessed with her). Her body was found on October 10, and the excerpt was in the November issue of Esquire, so it's not clear that she actually saw it. Not that this excuses the story or his behavior. There is a fair amount of millennial style behavior and conflict in the miniseries, as well as alleged activities that I think are libelous/slanderous? to the real characters, (Happy Rockefeller for example), and really not necessary for the story. What really happened and how everybody really behaved should have been more than adequate. . I don't find him a sympathetic person at all, and I have no idea why any of these women had considered him a great friend or someone they wanted to be around in the first place. I find him repellent, and I remember thinking as much when I was a kid and I would see him on talk shows. As far as the women sitting around smoking and gossiping and eating lunch. I think that is pretty accurate. Amanda Burden said her relationship with her mother (Paley) was extremely distant and that it was not her (Amanda's) choice: that her mother was obsessed with being a socialite, presenting the perfect outward image, wearing the perfect clothing, speaking in perfect tones, making the perfect gestures, and that was more important to her than motherhood.
