Question about box placement

Hello-

I currently have 1 BB box in my back yard which is mounted on a pole with a baffle. I see many different cavity nesting birds around (TRES, EABL and TUTI) but none of these birds have "chosen" my nestbox! There is a BB pair a few houses away that have chosen a box in that back yard (on a fence)...but none for me. I am wondering if my nest box is somehow unattractive to them. I am wondering if these things may scare them:

1- There is a bird feeder in my back yard as well (attracts mostly finches). Does that bug them?

2- I have a 2nd nest box mounted on my fence as a trapping box. They are fairly close together and am wondering if that bothers them (boxes too close). The BB's seem to prefer this trapping box on the fence, but are unable to get in b/c I have a hole restricter on it.

Does anyone have any thoughts? It seems everyone has eggs or babies already and I have a feeling that I am out of luck on the first nesting already.

Thanks for any help!

Alison
