He's just protecting his teritory from that "other male" in the reflection. I have one doing the same thing, for the second year in a row! I just found something at Lowes today it's a cling on film, I chose the raindrop pattern, Im puttin it on tomorrow , I will let you know how it works. It will let all the light in , distort my view some but should break up his reflection. It's in the window and blind section.

yea, let me know if you have any luck. What kind of sucks is I just got them close enough to the window feeder... He eats from it, but is still trying to attack the window. I really loved seeing them feed being SO close to them. I'm afraid he'll get himself hurt or just be too tired to ward off real enemies... silly bird!

I think I saw some window strike decals from wild birds unlimited.. but not sure if it would work for reflection problems..I'll look into it.

ps, both bb looks like they are having "bad feathers day" it's raining and they are both soaking wet! Poor things!

HEY! I just saw another female.. she was getting her butt kicked from resident female... Should I put up another house? Hubby started one last year, only needs a roof. We have the pole and predetor guard too. Only problem is I won't be able to see it from my window... but I'm sure I'll treck out there to check on it.. :) at least I'd get some exercise!

Window strike ideas are plenty at the sialis site.. cudos to the builders. There is a cool material called collide escape. It's kind of pricey like $50+ per window! My Hubby is going to try to find something at work, hopefully. I can't stand keeping my drapes closed so I may end up having to bite the bullet and buy this stuff. I may try some other other ideas as well. I'll let you know if anything simple works. Sandra

We had a bird a few yrs ago that would start flinging herself at the window at break of dawn and continue most of the morning and then on and off the rest of the day. We tore strips of newspaper and stuck them to the outside of the windows. Not pretty but cheap and worked for the most part -- (until the wind blew enough to where she could still see the 'invader' -- she was a very persistent bird!!!)

well, I'll have to do something... He just started flying into the BIG picture window.. no curtains there. I had a feeder on my deck there by that window, I moved it in hopes he'll leave the window alone. He's still trying to battle though.. silly bird! I can't really shut that window off it's the entire view from the main part of the house... Sandra

We also have Blue Birds pecking at our windows. This week they started pecking at the windows on my husbands Dodge truck. He is not happy about that for sure. They peck at the windows and crap all over the windows and Mirrors. Does any one know why or how to keep them off it besides parking it inside? I haven't tried this but there is a product on Amazon called window alert uv liquid. It comes in a bottle that looks like those bingo markers. You put dots around the area being striked and it's supposed to break up the reflection the bird sees. Supposed to be invisible to the human eye.

I have a female that is just determined to peck all the windows,, I covered them with black plastic for now to see if this discourages her,, she chirps and looks inside the birdhouse, but won't leave the windows alone,, now she is pecking my neighbors,, how long does this goes on? help!
