what is this bird

Tucson, AZ first year I've seen has been in our neighborhood since the hard freeze - smaller than Cardinal but similar silhouette with head crest - dirty black (not shiny) but in the right sun glint male looks blue - when in flight there is white under wings near tip - it is a pair I think - female doesn't have blue tint I think

Trying googling for Phainopepla..I believe that is your bird. The females are gray overall.
