Starling Attack On Purple Martins

You want proof of how nasty these foreign, non American birds are. Watch this. This is a starling invading a nest of Purple Martins in a plastic gourd rthat has a round two inch hole. Fortunately there are entrances to keep starlings out of martin cavities and I invented one called the clinger entrance that works real good stopping starlings from entering martin nests.

At first you will see the ugly male starling enter and peck at the heads of the young martins that are only about 12 days old. Keep watching and then you will see the male martin show up and the fight is on. Then the female martin joins in and two of the martins fighting together are no match for that dagger beak and chicken legs of the starling. This is why starlings are no good for nothing and the same for House Sparrows. This video says it all and the only good starling is a dead starling...Mike
