I was back and forth all week getting an apartment and getting it furnished. It doesn't have much in it yet, but important stuff. A bed, a desk and books. Also, just as importantly, it has, safely ensconced, my two bicycles, one kayak, and a 7&1/2 foot long board. Start work Monday. Will scout marinas when time permits. My round trip numbers are a tab below 800 miles. Who knew Mobile has hills. 200 feet hills; but hills none-the-less. Haven't gotten to the beach yet, but will do that by next weekend.

Sorry about your water well Pa. I hear you bought a place down here. Thats great! John is holding a Spanish Mackeral, Patti is holding a fish they said is called mother in law. Its ugly with a big mouth, lol. Don't know if thats the real name. Barbera it is really windy. Its rocking the camper. Maybe hubby can reschedule his trip. We were thinking about going out on another boat but its too rough. Had a hard time trying to fish yesterday in it from the bank and we exended our trip to fish some more. Now just sitting in the camper rocking around, lol. If I had known it was gonna get like this we would have went back home. We ate the red fish and the mackeral already. They were goooood!

Oh, I just love the antique sideboard vignette! The painting is wonderful & the hurricane trio looks like it came with the sideboard! The woman walking the dog is perfect, too! And those original rabbit wall sconces found a perfect home! Your beach themed decor looks so pretty with all your glassware...and I think those glass candles are perfect as they are! I like the idea of the ocean scene in one of your covered hurricane jar! Reminds me of the beautiful apothecary jars you decorated for other holidays. And I don't think your pics are too large, of course, I havent' been on d-up for yrs...but I would like to see your mantle even closer! You've got a great "collection" going here! TFS! Jeanne s.

We just had a brood of nine ducklings pull from a sewer drain last weekend. Below is a pic of the officer who rescued them. The sanctuary is about a ten minute drive from my home. It's open from dawn to dusk, though I've been there a few times after dark on bat walks and such. It's very cool to be there at dust with hundreds of crows come in for the evening to sleep.
