First off, congratulations on having nesting Bluebirds. Sometimes they're quick about laying, and sometimes a bit slower. Can you do a quick peek in there every couple of days to see if egg laying has begun? I'm sure it won't be long. Don't worry about the Raven. They are huge birds and could not gain access to your Bluebird eggs through that little hole.

I'm thinking the same right now! My blues are lagging behind horribly this year! seem to have started a nest but suddenly quit. Dull and wet spring with little bluebird activity has gotten me down. Last season was early, warm, so nice...

And yes keep checking for the 1st egg every once in a while. As Kendra said, the Raven is much too big.

Congratulations!! How exciting it is to host Bluebirds. Never know how soon she will begin to lay after the nest is completed. I wouldn't think it would be too long though. Like the others said, keep a watch on the nest. Once the first egg is laid, she should lay one egg each morning until she is done laying. 4-6 eggs is usual. Once the last egg is laid, incubation usually begins. She will incubate for about 12-14 days, and then you will have hatchlings! Then, if all goes well, in about 14 days, they will fledge from the box.~~Angie
