My lilies have suffered the most. Several completely died back. They'll be back next year hopefully, but I don't know if it was the cold, the wet, or a combination of both that killed them back yet. If it was both, they may not come back. My nasty red climbing rose has blooms all over it, altho the leaves did suffer damage, and the ubiquitous black spot is taking hold. I don't spray it, it will just have to look horrible. I would love to give it to someone who wants to try to dig it out of a precarious location. It is planted right next to the house and there is a permanent plant shelf that has been there since I moved it, so it will be difficult to dig between it and the house (only about a 8-10" space"). I never use the plant shelf. It holds 3 pots and looks kind of like a book shelf, with only one shelf per stand. Kind of striking in appearance actually, but I'm afraid the wind in Oklahoma would knock down any pots planted on it. So, it's purely decorative in nature. What else suffered? A lot of things suffered hail and wind damage, like the petasites japonica, hostas, the acanthus, all larger leaved plants. Dawn, my elderberry leaves are turning a mottled yellow/green - does this mean an iron deficiency or what? They can take a lot of water, so I don't think it's that. I didn't think they really needed fertilizer, so I haven't fertilized it. Just wondering. Katrina, I'm glad your shrubs and trees are coming out of it. Just be patient. The temps have been so cool, that everything growing really well before they hit, has slowed down a LOT! For instance, my aristolochias were growing gangbusters, but haven't grown at all since the cold hit us. Lots of things just standing still. It's really weird, too, because I have morning glories popping up that I just planted about 2 weeks ago. Now, they need tons of warmth, so I'm totally shocked that they are coming up. Could be the soil is still warm, and just the above ground plants are being affected. Very strange spring IMHO. But, with the soil still warm, you should be okay and start experiencing growth once the temps warm up consistently again. Susan

Once again, beautiful colors and items! I love the napkins you just bought, they would be so nice in MY dining room, but I'll only watch them and, maybe I will find a new tablecloth and napkins when I'll go shopping in two weeks to decorate my table after having removed the Easter decorations ;-) However, we have not had our Easter dinner yet because of the snow and the bad weather. Hope that we'll have it on Sunday... so, the Easter decorations are still there and will remain for some weeks.

Than you everyone. As I said I admired a blue and white Easter table on Pinterest. I hope the person who did that table doesn't mind that I borrowed her idea. Jane the crosses are on the table. If you look behind the blue wine glass you can see one peaking out. Jeanne the white branch I used came from AC Moore. It's supposed to light up but it quit after one use I should have taken it back but didn't have the sales slip and it was quite awhile before I got over there again. It is the perfect size for the vase and the eggs looked good on it. Thank you Creek and Punk you guys are good for one's ego! Karen I'm happy we are helping to come away from the "dark days" for a little while. I do like dark colors but I must confess that I favor pastels. We had a good Easter both of my new grand daughters were here.They are so beautiful I am blessed. Nana

Thank you, everyone. My friend and I were talking yesterday and we think it was something I did on the online assessment test. Lesson learned to say the least. It's been a very long day here. Dad's up in the hospital for overnight observation. They think he's dehydrated or experincing side effects from some of his medicines (allergy or blood pressure-I forget which, and I only got 6 hours of sleep (3-9), so forgive me if I sound a little out of sorts. He has a stress test tomorrow morning, and hopefully getting out tomorrow afternoon. He's in good spirits though. I'm remaining optimistic about better job oppertunities in the future. It's very difficult, but somehow I always manage to make it through. It's hard to smile in the face of adversity, but that's been the last 10 years of my life. But enough about that. Sorry if I sound so depressed, but it feels like my limits are being tested lately. And yes, my best friend is like a brother to me and one of the very few people I trust completely in this crazy world. We don't see each other very often, once a month if we're lucky. He's very protective of me (for good reasons) and he was born with an outrageously extreme sense of humor. You know what they say: laughter is the best medicine. Brad AKA Moonwolf
