Sorry. I wonder if I did something wrong or if Photobucket is just down. I have four different v. dentatums and they don't bloom at the same time. I thought it was strange that my Chicago Luster had so many berries and the others had none. I planted a couple Blue Muffins in the shade and they haven't even bloomed. I hope they will when they get bigger. The Chicago Luster has one Autumn Jazz on each side of it. I also have one plain species and another Blue Muffin that bloomed but no berries. Which viburnum did you get Gld?

I've never been married. I'm 56 now, so I realize it's not going to be easy to find a partner. I dropped out of college in 1980 to take care of my grandmother who helped raise me. Then I became the caregiver for three other relatives in succession, the last was my father, so I didn't get out enough to meet many single men. I got back from Cache Creek casino sooner than expected. One of my cousins wasn't feeling well so we had to come home early. Now that I'm home, I'm feeling depressed, partly because I lost money, and didn't have time to win it back, but mostly because I miss my dad. I thought of how much more fun the trip would have been if he were with me. I remembered the time when we gambled all night together in Reno, when we both were much younger. We arrived home exhausted but happy. I wish we could have had more fun times like that. I thought about my dad on the long ride home and how the world seems so empty without him, even though there were crowds of people in the casino and on the roads and freeways. It's hard to believe I"ll ever feel better, but I know I'm feeling extra weary from lack of sleep. I couldn't sleep well last night, because I was crying so much, more than before. It's a different kind of exhaustion than the kind you get from having fun. I know that no one can take my dad's place, but it would be nice to have someone here to talk over the trip with and to just watch tv with at the end of the day. Thanks for the advice. I hadn't thought about using insecticide/miticide. That is a good suggestion to prevent further spread of TMV and to get the plants to their healthiest regardless of whether they've been exposed to TMV. I need to buy fresh insecticide anyway. I found evidence of mealy bugs on a papilio that is growing indoors and a they were on one of my phalaenopsis orchid flower spikes. My boyfriend and I found about 50 bulbs last night. Pots had apparently been dumped along our fence line and in the area we use for composting. However, I don't know what the bulbs are, which means I'm not sure what medium to pot them in, how deep to plant them or how much sunlight they need. I *think* the bulk of the bulbs are freesia and Dutch iris. The pots at the fence line had been colchicum, hyacinth and colored calla lilies... but the bulbs retrieved in that area look like none of those things. I keep reminding myself to be grateful for all the hard work my mom did. I'm also trying to stay focused on the fact that the plants can be replaced. The emotional mix of frustration and gratitude/love is a strange place to be. Ironically, I imagine it's a mix of emotions my mother encountered while raising her children. LOL
