Annie1992 — i’m with you on that grade B real maple syrup! That’s the only thing we use when we want maple syrup. That corn syrup stuff has a mouth feel that is like cardboard gelatin. I rarely buy or use Cool Whip, but one of my in-laws used to make this particular dessert with Cool Whip and strawberries because her children liked it. She use frozen strawberries but with a lot of fresh strawberries on top. I do remember the polysorbate 60 from reading the list of ingredients decades ago. It really is gooood. Probably a recipe from one of those “Women’s Magazines” decades ago. I made this for a party, and to keep in the fast ingredients spirit, use canned whipped cream (one can discern).

Good advice above! Any wallpaper stripping or wall repairs should be done before the floor work. Floor work can affect the paint work around the perimeter. Painting of walls can be done before but I always recommend a coat be done after. Floor sanding is rough hard work. Herding a big machine around close to walls while it's hooked to a heavy 220v power cord and a dust bag or vacuum hose is difficult work and the quality of the floor sanding comes first. The edge sander sands right up to the trim with no guard so it's possible it can touch and mess up fresh paint. Furthermore, people usually paint more frequently than they sand floors so painters are accustomed to working over finished wood floors, tile and carpet. If they're careless they won't stay in business very long.

Woohoo! that's a beauty, sherrygirl. I have a very similar one. I had planted it next to a lavender one hoping they would intertwine. However, I didn't realize that this white one blooms way before the lavender one. So much for my big idea! Oh well, it's equally as nice to have one after the other.

Thanks. Well, that is what I thought. I should have said we were not ready to buy "additional flooring". We reused the old carpet, and there is no way to match it. We have built 3 or 4 homes, and carpet was always last. However, I think I DO need to tell him what kind of flooring I will be using, right? If I put a laminate floor plank or vinyl floor plank on the floor, will the baseboard trim be installed lower than it would be with carpet? Or does it not matter? Another question... In a bedroom doorway, where should the carpet end? Inside the bedroom, outside the bedroom, or halfway in between (in the center of the door jamb)? Will the closed bedroom door cover the carpet? It looks like he planned to use an iron to attach the new carpet to the old carpet, maybe? The two different carpets will not match at all, which is why I told him I was not ready. So, will he have to iron on a small strip of old carpet? (A couple of inches wide?) Doesn't the edge need to be attached to a carpet tack strip and turned under? Or does it get finished differently with plank flooring? I doubt I will find carpet to match so I am leaning toward vinyl planks. Thanks.
