Blue boys (and girls)

I am seeing a lot of my blues these days, and I get lots of pictures. Here are 21 shots from this morning. Most are of males but a few are of the females too.

And lastly, here are the females.

Yes, you'll need a boy to pollinate if you want berries, unless a nearby neighbor has one close enough for bees to visit.

Granolamom, I respect your house, your way. But when the kids have so much fun with bedding that expresses their current passion for things, or makes the room feel like their own, why is that such a bad thing to you? They are little for only a short time. My younger son was wild about construction vehicles (I have NO idea why)and particularly 'the mighty loader' as we all called it. He had bedding that had trucks and cars on it, and LOVED it - in fact, at 20 he still has the tissue box cover on his nightstand, despite having moved on long ago from 'the mighty loader' passion. He keeps it as a fond memory of that room decor - I think it says home and his space to him, even after being away at university. I guess my point is that it is their room. Just as you choose sheets and bedding that speak to you in your space, shouldn't they have the same opportunity? Besides, just wait until they are 10 or 12 and up and want posters and other decor that fits their interests! LOL

Oh, WOW! Congrats on all those little ones coming at the same time! My boy&girl twin grankids just turned 6 and it's being SUCH an experience seeing from day 1 that he's "such a boy" and she's "such a girl" even though they're the same age & raised by the same parents. The "twin thing" is soooo special (they have an older brother and sister.) They had their own language before they were speaking ours, and they cooked up an escape plan when they were barely one (talking in their "language" for a while before they both bolted in opposite directions while this Grandma was watching them. . . .) And then you throw their same-aged cousin into the mix. . . .It's gonna keep you on your toes!

Blue Girl same as Blue Girl Climber?

Here's one of the older gardenweb threads that got me wondering: http://forums2.gardenweb.com/discussions/1632371/what-to-do-about-odd-growth-habit-on-blue-girl?n=11 I don't think I worded my original question right though. But I'm having trouble formulating my question. I guess the better question is how often the climbing "sport" of Blue Girl shows up on a grafted Blue Girl rose... and if I should expect it in mine. And how often climbing Blue Girl (or a plant with a mutation/sport of Climbing Blue Girl) is sold as regular Blue Girl.... and if it's a good likelihood that I should expect that in mine. Or if I try to grow it as a climber, is it likely that it will look like a climber? Can anyone gaze into my dormant rose and tell me it's future? :) I guess I could plant it against a fence and just wait and see what happens. It seems like it likes to sport to a climber or become a climber often, so I probabaly should expect it.

Thanks, everyone. Here are a few more taken a few minutes ago.

And Kathy, here are a few of Mama, just for you and those who appreciate the quiet beauty of the female.

I Love your pictures Dave! As an inspiration for Spring and nesting season, I used one of your pictures for my computer screen background. Hope you don't mind.

I'm honored, Dave. The last one--perfect. And Renee, I've had an Uncle Dave bluebird screensaver for years now. I've never found anything more beautiful to replace it with!

Wow! I'm very honored.

Today was a little overcast but still bright enough for good shooting. I actually shot more than 2,000 frames, almost all bluebirds. Here are a couple more. Dave
