Sorry...me again. Kate...I wanted to ask you about the color pink of Viking Queen. From the picture I saw it was hard for me to determine the color. In the first pic I saw, she looked salmony pink, but in a picture I saw later she looked like a true, rich pink? Not that it matters, cause either way she is beautiful, but if she was salmony like the first pic; then I think she would look great with Morden Blush, but if she is more pink, I was wondering if she would look better with Rose de Rescht? Also like Compassion's color with Morden Blush...oh the pressure...lol! Terryjean...Camille Pissaro is really unique and very pretty and I'm thinking it would look great with the Dublin Bay climber I was first thinking of. I really need a bigger yard...lol. I'm so glad to see so many people want Snapdragons! Been looking them over for weeks and wishing for them since I haven't seen them in a garden since I was a kid. Now all of you have got me convinced I can WS them successfully and I'm going to indulge a nostalgic wish. Alyssum is another one since they're on the "rabbit resistant" list (as if) for NJ and look like you get a long bloom time as a reward. Poppies are another thing that's captivated me in all the photos on seed sites. Got to have them. Some sites say they're only in bloom for 1 month. Is that anyone's experience? Don't have anyplace to put them "inground" so have to figure out large container set up to get that "waving field" effect on deck. Is that 3 already? Geez, this is my first year and I only have 5 seeds ordered so far and my "wish list" is sooo long already. Thanks, Bakemom, for starting this thread. It's a real encouragement.

Waterfowls sometimes stay back when they know there is a section of water open all year-round. I know of a place near a power plant where allot of birds stay over.

I don't mean to stir up the pot, but before just re-doing my garage ceiling, I looked into the moisture barrier issue, and found enough reason to believe it really doesn't help, at least not as part of a fiberglass roll. For a moisture barrier to work, it needs to be tight to the surface where you're trying to block moisture, airtight really. If there's any room for air to escape from under it, then moisture will escape, too, and the barrier is wasted. Yet most "barriers/retarders" are just that, placed as part of the fiberglass batt, or fastened somehow to the ceiling, but almost never is it airtight. The fact that most barriers/retarders are not effective, yet rarely is moisture in insulation a problem (at least in northern climates), makes me wonder if the whole issue is overblown. BTW--I'd vote for 5/8 drywall in a garage, especially if you're going to be doing lots of work in there. The thicker stuff will take hits from long lumber and pipes etc. much better.
