Dried mealworms?

I could have bought some, but I figured they weren't any good. But if you saw my other post (bluebird at my birdbath in -13F weather.........I'm thinking something would have been better than nothing.
We have a large wooded property, so the bluebirds can probably find decent shelter. But what can they eat when its soooooooo cold out?
Are the dried mealworms good for them??
