Making candy out of Sun Gold cherry tomatoes

When I first started growing Sun Golds this year I was so disappointed, they grew so slow compared to my other varieties. But now they are playing catch up and producing so many tomatoes my family can't eat them all, so I decided to sun dry them. I cut them in half and let them sit out side on aluminum foil covered pans during the day. At night I put them in my oven that has a gas pilot light that keeps the interior of the oven at around 100 degrees or so. The resulting dried tomatoes are so sweet and tasty that they taste like candy, I'm not kidding. Its just so time consuming though to cut them in half without squashing them, use a very sharp knife. I don't know why, but flies don't go on them even though I don't have a screen over them.
