Sharing tomatoes with the family, what do you think?

I hope the forum can help! My husband and I disagree.

I've been growing tomatoes for about 8 years. The last 3 years have been organic. Every year when the extended family comes over they all love to take our green tomatoes, to make fried green tomatoes. My 3 small children look forward to eating the red tomatoes.

This year, with the move to the new house, I didn't get to grow as much as I usually would have. We are about to have a get together and I know that the family will ask for the green ones.

My side, they are all adults and have access to Farmer's Markets and green tomatoes, if they wish. I would like to keep them for our family of 5, and share the later harvest.

His side, they love green tomatoes, we give them up. We share.

I know that I am being selfish, I visit the garden every morning, water, talk to them, etc. So I feel really close to what I am growing and I do it out of love for my kids and to give them organic veges to eat.

Where do YOU stand on this?

Thanks!
