Having Fun with Nature site

We have a small farm in Texas, and are converting it to a wildlife haven. My husband, who is computer literate, has built a website showing what we are doing. We also have tips on gardening, growing and using culinary herbs, and bits about our bees and chickens. I loved your website and the photos were beautiful!
I also have a dip and carry 55 gal plastic rainbarrel and use the mosquito donuts. A word of caution though: After researching rainbarrels on the web, I found that some roofing materials have chemicals in them so the run-off shouldn't be used on a vegetable garden.
That doesn't matter to me, as I have way more flowers gardens and pots than vegs anyway.

woodlandgal, So glad you liked the website and photos! We'll be updating photos periodically, so come back and visit often.
I agree about roofing chemicals. Fortunately, our barn has a metal roof, and is near the vegetable garden (when we get the barn fixed up we'll have photos!) and we use the rainwater run off from that.

Grainlady, are you sure we aren't related somehow,? lol. My Mom and Dad were the worst for recipe filing. I have 3 buildings of recipes in boxes and trunks. I admit I am pretty bad myself,I have recipes all over the house and threaten to take down to the local copy/printer shop to have them copied on full sized sheet with protectors. It's funny when people ask me for my Pesto recipe, it's written with only the ingredients on the back of a small spiral note pad. I usually get a "your kidding me" remark. I wish I could find the recipe for Howard Johnsons Orange Corn Bread Cakes have never been able to find it on the net.

What a great artist! I really appreciate how she has a totally finished decorating item in each of her offerings. You can buy the art and not have to add anything to made it a center piece. For me that is a problem, I can do the art but have trouble adding flower or vines, etc. She is sure an inspiration! Thanks for sharing her site! Belle
