I had the same issue this season. My spots were a little smaller than yours -- they looked like someone had taken an ink pen and dotted thousands of tiny marks on the leaves. I believe it is called bacterial speck. Yours looks larger, so it may qualify as bacterial SPOT. I believe they are both same condition caused by, well, bacteria getting on the leaves somehow. Interestingly, my affected plant was also a Better Boy. I tried lopping off the leaves that were affected, but it did no good. I ended up destroying the plant.

I am no expert, so maybe some seasoned vets can help you find a way to salvage the plant. Perhaps a fungicide will work. Also, be sure your plants are well mulched and dirt is not able to splash on the plant when watering. Also never water the plant from above -- that will keep the foilage dry and help prevent this in the future.

Don't waste your time trying to heal it. Whack it and get it out of there. Don't compost it, trash it.

Better to sacrifice one than lose the rest. Try to make sure that the infected plant doesn't brush the healthy ones and put it in a plastic bag for disposal.

I'd wash my hands thoroughly afterwards, too. And set that cage aside for the season. Mulching the healthy ones afterwards will help. I like the red plastic, but any kind of mulch will greatly reduce splash-up infection.

Oh man, that's terrible. I can only imagine how bad it feels to lose a plant that size. Be ever so careful handling it and avoid overhead watering at all costs. I know all of us feel your concern. Damn, what a shame.

Cover it with a plastic bag and pull it out of there!!!
I'd burn it, but if you can't burn, at least bag it and trash it! Then change your clothes and wash them and shower and wash your shoes.
Do not plant tomatoes there again for at least two years.

Has it been established that the plants were watered from overhead? It doesn't appear that the plants are mulched and after getting rid of the bad plants I'd put some mulch under the healthy ones immediately. Hope it turns out ok and you get a harvest from the remaining plants, good luck. :)

I have some that look like that too.
I planted about 16 toms and about 4 of them look like that.

I am going to leave 'em. They still are making toms so I will give 'em a chance.

The cherries of mine on the same row but on the opposite side of the garden, are green and healthy so I guess I will find out.

Storm rolled through last night and blew several of my plants over. Pinched the stems. I picked them up and tied em again to the stakes so that would probably kill mine before the bacterial did. :)
