Spreading violets

kathielo

About two years ago I planted about three of those freckled violet plants. They were the cutest thing. Now I have them everywhere in my perennial bed. They are spreading like wildfire. I'm beginning to hate them....too much weeding out. Does anyone have a suggestion for keeping them in control. I know they are spreading by seed. They have filled in the spot I wanted filled and then some. They've created more work than they are worth. (Not really because they are usually the first thing I see in the spring in that flower bed. And we all know that feeling after a winter like this past one.) Anyway, HELP!!!!!
