Another newbie question-cow manure?

hi

I ordered a pound of red wrigglers yesterday, they should be arriving next week. I shredded up 1 pound of newspaper and cardboard strips for their new home. Should I stick with 100% paper bedding, or would it be a good idea to get some dry cow pies from the pasture next to my backyard? I've read about people adding compost or manure to the bedding (is this for beneficial microorganism activity?). But I am concerned that there may be fly eggs, or maggots in the manure? If i used boiling water or freezing to eradicate the eggs would this destroy the microorganisms? Also, I read to prepare the manure it must be repeatedly soak and drained to remove antibiotics, how many times does it need to be washed and is this true?

Thank you in advance and really enjoy reading the posts on this forum, I'm psyched to get my worms!!!
