Tonight's low, 48 degrees, any advice?

Tonight we are supposed to hit a low of around 48 degrees. It should be that low only for an hour or two, then pop back up around 50. From what I have heard, one night of weather below 50 shouldn't harm the tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers too much, but is there anything simple that I should do as a precaution? I could maybe wrap some plastic around them; would that really help?

On a side note, most of my plants are in large containers. I feel like the cold may affect container plants a little more because they don't have the earth to keep them warm. Unfortunately, it is unrealistic for me to try to bring them in overnight.

Thanks for any advice!
