LOL! Come on, be ornery! Once I found the little froggie, I realized that your pic wasn't THAT blurry, FTM. It was my sense of size (things may appear larger than they are) that had me thinking the leaf-with-eyes was the mack daddy frog. :D It's great to hear they love crickets, since I moved some pots the other day, and found a multitude of them, large and small. The frogs have been singing their hearts out all over the yard, and I know they come up to where the crickets were, since that's where my watering can is. :D I love yummy tummies! Brenda

Hello! I hang in houseplants sometimes too, alot to learn over there! I think hoyas are pretty easy by comparison! Do you mean vines when you say strings? If so, sure you can cut them off, but you do take the risk of losing a vine that would potentially put out peduncles/buds. I usually just leave them be, I like the way they look, they add to the charactor of the plant...or u could wrap them around so they are no so obvious or in the way. If you don't like the bare look of the vines, keep in mind they usually do get leaves... eventually. As for repotting, hoyas can stay for years and years in small pots, and this is actually recommended for them. As they get more potbound you may have to water more or ocassionally top dress with some fresh soil, but the general rule is, the smaller the pot the better!

denninmi, Oh, I"m so glad you didn't lose precious harvest! Believe me, you have sympathy, not scorn, from me, and probably from most people here --- as morz8 says, most of us have had a freezer "issue"! Morz8, my worst freezer story is also my sister's. Last summer she---also pregnant---had an incident a bit like deninmi's but with worse results. It wasn't even to vacuum---she and a friend were in the basement packing up stuff for her impending move. They wanted to put on some tunes, and THOUGHT they were unplugging the FAN that was in one of the outlets in order to plug in the portable CD Player. But they were really unplugging the freezer that was in the other. The freezer full of pricey organic meat. They bopped and packed for a few hours, went back upstairs to make dinner, and forgot all about it... till TWO WEEKS later when the move was only a week away. All that meat... and the freezer now needing a serious cleaning and airing on top of the final packing chores. I had lost some stuff two years ago (my freezer is just a little old and flaky) and swore to get a freezer alarm, but never got around to it. Told my sister my story and she gave me a freezer alarm this summer. Yay! Z

yes, kublakan, actually I am new to both roses and gardening. I bought this house 3 years age and started to plant roses around spring time of 2013. I really like roses and peonies. Thanks.
