Too funny Arum!!! Ya know photos are a must :o) - but yes, it is a gorgeous blooming vine. I love the way is looks like a 'chocolate Mt Fuji' :o)

I wasn't able to harvest any seeds this year as my plant froze out in December (and well, having it in a basket - I never quite watered as well as I should have). Am holding on to the last dozen I have. I will try a fall planting.

How long ago did you plant yours? Did you plant them in baskets or in the ground? They are pretty basket vines if you can remember to water them, that is.

Cat, I planted them in the ground, and will have a TON of seeds, so never fear!!! :) That's one of the advantages of being so generous with your MG seeds as you and Emma are. If your's don't pan out, someone else's will. If your's don't make it, I will be sending you seeds. Some of the buds turned yellow and fell off, but others turned fat and green, ready for the sun to bake them brown and ready to harvest. Yes, it is a beautiful MG, and if not for your generous heart, I would have never gotten to see it. I will be sending you ALL of my MG's this fall. As with yours, some of mine didn't make it, but some did really well. Thanks again, :) arum

It took forever for them to bloom! But that might just be because I was holding my breath. :) It seem like I planted in May. I will be doing some trading in the fall, it seems there will be a good many seeds from this one. :) Arum

...I could use a few seeds when harvest season comes around. The rain we got from hurricane Emily helped a whole bunch but this long summer of 100+ temperatures every day is doing a number on everything.

Did I send you seeds for my yellow ipomoea ochracea? If so, how are they doing? Mine have literally taken over the back east side of my yard. They have climbed over the side gate trellis and other tendrils crawled under the side gate and onto another trellis that I have staked in the ground about six feet away on the east side of my house. So far lots of greenery but no sign of buds. I really do hope those put out blooms and harvestable seeds! I expect flowers in late fall...that's when they've always started to bloom.
