question about large mg blooms

Willie

At a Lowe's nursery dept. today, I saw they had large 3+ gallon containers of the Heavenly Blue Morning Glory for sale ($24.95). They were healthy greenhouse grown plants and what really caught my eye was the size of the blooms. I have this same Heavenly Blue MG on my fence, with good size blooms, but nothing like the "for sale" plants.

In checking the container I found that it was planted in what appeared to be a mixture of sand and mulch. If this was not fertilized (as the experts say you're not supposed to do to MG's)---------do any of you vineaholics have any ideas on how they got these large blooms? The people working there had no comment, other than one girl said,"I sing to the MG plants when I water them." That may be the secret, however guess I'd have to whistle since I don't sing too good!

Wonder if they are giving it a dose of something strong in Phospherus?
