I've grown morning glories for years. I've found that on the Gulf Coast, the afternoon sun makes them wilt. I'd say that morning sun would be a better choice. If they don't get enough sun, they won't want to bloom. As far as watering goes, not too little or too much. I usually soak the seed overnight before soaking. I also scratch the surface with an Exacto knife (and try not to cut myself) Hope this helps. Here is a link that might be useful: Deborah's Garden

My Old Glory is in a tub with two other fairly golden hosta. Until yesterday, it sat in this location where it gets morning sun and all day sun actually. But now I moved those golden hosta into the Back40 for safety beneath a shade covering. Not UP yet, but it soon will be. Meanwhile, I'll take another photo of Old Glory to give it individual attention. Yours is looking might fine.

I had them indoors originally but gradually put them outdoors longer throughout the day but even doing that they were dying very shortly after germination, all of my other flowers are doing wonderfully after the move and transplant, it seems to just be these that are having a hard time for some reason. I've always germinated my plants indoors and then shortly after germination moved them outside the minute the weather is right after a short hardening off and last frost has past(ours was calendered for last week) the reason I only germinate indoors and then move out is mainly for placement because i have a large garden area and we have alot of ducks and birds that come and pick up the seeds if they're directly sown outside. They've also always seemed to do better then waiting until fully grown for transplant but this is my first time doing moonflowers and morning glories
