Anybody grow Longwood Purple wisteria?

I've been doing a lot of research lately on American wisteria (W. frutescans). Seems like the hot cultivar of the moment is AMETHYST FALLS, which I've found a lot of information on and it definately sounds like something that I want. However, I just discovered that there is another good cultivar called LONGWOOD PURPLE. It was discovered at Longwood Gardens and is supposed to be a deeper purple than Amethyst Falls.

Now I'm stumped. Which one to get?

Since they have similar growth habit, flower form and color, a deciding factor is fragrance. Which is more strongly scented? In all honesty I will probaby get both but wish to get a dialog started here to alert others that alternatives exist to the rampant Asian wisteria you commonly see at garden centers.

Oh and by the way, American Wisteria blooms the first year and continues to produce flowers until autumn.
