Years and years ago I used to watch Merv Griffin's talk show after school. He had Dolly on when she was starting out in movies. I remember being totally blown away by her origin story, and also her grace and intelligence given her origins. A smart, sophisticated woman! Unfortunately, my only previous exposure to her was her commercial for "Breeze" detergent where she excitedly exclaimed how you could get a free dishtowl exclusively from them. Between her outfit and her accent, it gave off the opposite vibe as she did in her interview! Just goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover.

IMO that is what you hire a designer for. On line colors are never true so you need to see all those choices first hand anyway. Your architect is the one to talk to about exterior finishes and a lot of that depends on the style of house , they should be able to show you drawings of at least 3 choices.

I am assuming your podcast will be video'd, so people will see your studio. The first thing I would do is get rid of the coffee table, it is totally lacking in style. I am not sure about the ottoman either. While it is nice, it is for a residential space, and in addition, the color doesn't relate to chairs, and as this is not a home, you don't have the opportunity to bring in other things to allow the blue to connect with the yellow. Under the window get a glass console table, perhaps with a shelf on which to place the products that you will discuss during your podcast. In addition, get a coffee table, perhaps a round one, on which you and your guest can place a cup and the products you are discussing. I am not thrilled with that metal window covering. Perhaps you can cover it with something? On the walls you could project photos of people carrying the products you are discussing. Or something similar. And take the photos yourself, or find classic photos.

I have listened to the Moth too. I had a bunch of favorites on Stitcher that I listened to on my phone, but it has been quite awhile because service is so lousy here. I got started listening to S - Town, which was mentioned by the radio guy I listen to. I wouldn't like mindless banter on the radio either. Not sure why anyone would purposely seek that out. Lately I listen to Spotify and have been listening to some of Joe Rogan's interviews. There are so many different podcasts to listen to....and talk about mindless banter! So many are. I listen to Rogan on TV with ROKU. I listened to his interview with Bob Lazar last night. I need to see if I can get Stitcher on ROKU. It works better inside, because I am not outside moving around, which is how I used to listen to it before I moved here.
