Comments (12)Bindweed is an aggressive plant that will take over if you let it! Will try to post pictures showing native Texas bindweed bloom and leaves. It is an Ipomoea. img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/txwille/Texasbindweed.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/txwille/Texasbindweed.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/txwille/Texasbindweed.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">...See MoreHas Grandpa Otts started to bloom for you yet?
Comments (4)Just outside Ottawa: our Grandpa Ott MGs are growing in two whisky barrels with tepees made of sticks on top. They are next to a warm south-facing brick wall. They have been in bloom since mid-July. I have not planted any seed for about 5 or 6 years - they just sow themselves. And I gather lots of seeds and give them away at our garden club holiday pot luck supper....See MoreSweet Autumn Clematis survived the Grandpa Ott's
Comments (19)Oh helen I don't have a small lawn. It takes me 2 hours to mow and the trim etc after that. I just don't want it in my lawn, growing across and trying to mow. It isn't something I planted so not something I want. Would be fine if she took care of it, trim it back from other peoples lawn. We are in town not the country where she has some sprawling acreage to let it roam. I know I sound bad but I really like my lawn to look nice and be a pleasant and clean place for my family and my self to enjoy the outdoors togather. Sort of the same thing with my mother. She loves honeysuckle, She has it growing in several areas. That is fine . She cuts back what she doesn't want to get out of hand and it is in her area. I on the other hand could only stand for it to be in a contained area. so hence I will do my best not to plant something that is going to bring me trouble down the line or cause someone else to have to deal with something they didn't plant or choose to have in their lawn.
