Was he a green tree frog???

not necessarily a hitch-hiker, but our shed outside is full of tree frogs. They're stuck to everything - the walls, oil cans, empty flower pots...you name it. I've never seen anything like it before. I guess they overwintered in there?

Last spring I had a large toad nesting in a planter that holds an assortment of cactus. I thought that was rather odd.

I've been seeing Texas Spiny Lizards for a few weeks and mice ACKKKKKK. DH found the nest in the pool supply container.

He was a nice warty toad ;-) I haven't seen my spiny lizards yet. Lots of mice outside of the building at work, but my kitties probably deter the ones around the house. I still haven't seen any green tree frogs this year, maybe soon. They seem to like hiding in the canna.

I keep waiting for my toads to start their spring singing, but so far they're quiet. I thought for sure they'd start singing with Tuesday's deluge, but maybe that was too overwhelming for them. I'm beginning to get concerned. Maybe it's still a bit too chilly at night,yet.

I have so many of the little green fellows in my plant room, but it is hard to determine if they are singing or complaining when I open the doors to water. I leave the doors open on warm days, and now the cardinals are trying to build their nest in there.

Last summer I had a brown bottle with plants starting in it outside. I brought it in-took out and potted the starts-washed the outside of the jar-THEN when I started to do the inside with a bottle brush there was this lime green lump inside (at first I thought it was goop) But no! It was a little tree frog hanging on for dear life! So he go put back outside-back to work! They always make me smile-CJ
