No Signs of Srping in North Texas???? (2/14)

I am new to DFW and I have been reading books that Pear Trees, Redbud and Dogwoods are the first trees to bloom in North Texas (correct me if I'm wrong).

In any event, many books say they begin to bloom in February, so I am wondering, with all this snow and cold, when should I expect to see these early blooming trees start? Around what date or dates have they historically bloomed? Will I have to wait until it warms up after late February? Or will they bloom regardless of the weather thanks to the mositure and higher sun angle? How warm does it have to get anyways to wake the buds up?

Basically I am yearning for Spring and want to know what signs I will see first and when?? I can't take this prolonged winter much longer!! I would love to see a garden timeline of what I can expect over the next three months if someone wouldn't mind! Thanks!
