We have worms!

My husband says that sounds really bad when you tell people that! He is just not too sure about this venture!

My grandson and I are now the proud owners of 1 pound of red wiggly worms. He has named them ALL "wormy". They have been in their little house, (a large rubbermaid tub with air holes in the botton, sides and lid) for 3 days now. So far, so good. No escapees, no dead and dying as far as I have seen.

The bedding is shredded newspaper and cardboard, just wet enough to stick together if I squeeze. A little potting soil...

Now, is it time to feed yet? I got them from Topline who sent a nice little letter on worm basics. They said to feed sparingly the first few weeks.

I have 1/4 c of coffee grounds, mashed bananas and a sprinkle of cornmeal ready.

Also, when I need to rewet my bedding, do I just sprinkle some water on the paper and stir??? Or just sprinkle?

I never knew that I would stress over worms!
